Introducing Sensia

As it was announced on February 23rd, Rockwell Automation and Schlumberger have launched into an exclusive, strategic agreement to form a joint venture that will leverage Schlumberger’s deep oil and gas domain knowledge and Rockwell Automation’s rich automation and information expertise.

The new company will be named Sensia and will become the industry’s first digitally enabled, integrated automation solutions provider, unifying sensing, intelligence and action to optimize decisions and dramatically reduce the time and interactions between detection, diagnosis and resolution. The transaction is expected to close, and the joint venture is expected to begin serving customers, on October 1, 2019, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions.

As part of this transaction, Schlumberger’s Cameron Measurement Systems product line, including its employees, manufacturing facilities, and intellectual property will be contributed to the Sensia JV. This letter is intended to inform your company of these changes and alert you that once the transaction is closed, Cameron Measurement Systems will start conducting business under the name of Sensia (internationally) and under the name of Cameron Technologies US LLC in the USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sensia.
